Hello, we're GM Joe and GM Josh, and welcome to our blog. Forgotten Legacies is a 3.5 Edition Dungeons & Dragons campaign spanning from level 1 all the way to level 20. We pieced it together from a number of premades, as well as an original overarching story connecting the modules.
The point of all this isn't simply to chronicle the tales of our players as we run these games. In fact, we won't even be running this game together! Rather, we will be game mastering Forgotten Legacies in parallel, each with our own group of players. The purpose is to see both how different the campaigns of two GMs using the same material are, and, likewise, how differently two groups of players act when put in similar situations and how the campaigns unfold.
First, a bit about the blog and then a bit about the game. There will be several types of posts here. After one of us runs a session, we will post a journal of that session's events. We will also post discussions between us regarding our groups and campaigns between sessions. Other miscellaneous posts will likely also appear.
The game will take place in Faerûn. However, we will not be delving too far into the specific lore of the realm. As stated before, this campaign's overarching story is an original story, and our story overwrites Faerûnic lore when a conflict occurs between them. The campaign consists of the following premades, so be warned that this blog will contain many spoilers on the following adventures: The Sunless Citadel, The Forge of Fury, Red Hand of Doom, Heart of Nightfang Spire, Deep Horizon, Lord of the Iron Fortress, and Bastion of Broken Souls. Keen observers may note that this is the original 3rd Edition Adventure Path with Red Hand of Doom replacing The Speaker in Dreams and The Standing Stone. This decision was made because we felt RHoD better suited the flow and scope of the over-arching campaign.
This is a morphic campaign and we have a lot of freedom to modify it as we see fit; any constructive suggestions or opinions regarding the campaign or our DMing are welcome.
